Tuffy  $775
1999, 16h, Reg, Paint, chestnut Overo mare. Her papers are not in the office but the previos owner is willing to be contacted by Chuck Walker for them. I have not been given a price so I have no idea what the charge will be. There was also a note about the mare from the old owner - bIf anyone rides Tuffy - she is a bit cold backed, send her around the round pen and she is fine when you get on. She is very good in the round pen when riding her. She likes the security of fences or rails - is ok in the arena. She falls apart on the trails. She was used as a brood mare before I got her and has had a least 2 foals - said to be a wonderful mother. If papers are desired - make arrangements with Chuck.

We found her to round pen nice, but would have started out cold backed if we had not warmed her up in the round pen. She acts like she was Western pleasure trained, flexing at the poll. The rider commented that she was spur trained and that she has a small stride at the canter and jog. It looked to me that some time in her life she was ridden with a running martingale or some apparatus that keep her head low and close to her chest. She looks and rides very much like a Western Pleasure horse. She is bit hot and would be better suited for a rider that is experienced. On the ground she was well behaved and it was obvious that she has been showed or trained for halter classes as she was responsive in her head carriage when you asked her to place it
