Poor ol man he needs a place to live comfortable for his retirement.
We have 3 in mid to late 20's already it is so sad they have so much love to give and patience from years of use.

There is nothing better then an older horse for a young girl or adult looking for a easy trained horse.
I see Toria out with Annie talking to her brushing her just giving her the attention that Annie craves. It is so sweet. make me want to cry  Sad

I hate to see kindly older ones like this being sent to the canner. They are worth the extra things they need, blankets, some senior feed and beet pulp. They are so patient with children, looking forward to any attention that comes their way, putting up with novice blunders and not pushing people around.
This guy will repay his savior with years of loyal love and affectionate nickers. He will not forget that they saved him because he is probably very well aware of how close he is to doom.

We have had three of these pensioners from CBER and still have one. They are pure gold. They have taught me a lot about how big a horse's ability to love can grow with age. I think they really do know when we save them. The gratitude is amazing.

My heart started to beat faster when I saw this notification, hoping he did not ship. I hope this comes through for him.

We just spent over $1000 to bring a mare through Potomac Horse Fever and more to vaccinate and boost the rest of the herd, and then our cat got complications from a spay that cost us an additional $500 over the spay costs. So we can't help anyone right now.

I wish we could have taken him, he looks like a gem. I'm rooting for him!
