Coco $450

1.5 yr, 14h, reg QH mare.  She looks foundation bred.  She was sold to the feedlot because her owner has cancer, she has papers but they are still with the owner so bloodlines and the owner wants $100 which is not included in the price.  She is not halter broke but has let me pet her.  She appears to have a good mind but an experienced home is a must as she needs to be halter broke and doctored as she has a superficial wound on her knee and a prime candidate for illness because she is young

I have ads in Eugene and Corvallis Craigslist, hope someone sees her. The poor baby deserves a chance at a life. So cute.

Holding back the papers could really hurt her. I wish people would quit doing that and think of the horse's life instead of trying to get more money.

Gotta remember that these horses are sold to the FLO for slaughter, not for re-homing. Bouvery doesn't care whether they are Registered or not so the Papers aren't necessary for the original purpose...But I agree, it would be nice if the Old Owners, would offer the Papers to help these horses find New Owners.

they most likely dont want to get slammed. I think calm request for information isnt bad those freaks who send hate mail are bad for the horses... No wonder more and more people want direct to slaughter for reg. horses...

Looks like Coco has a home.  However, (per Sam) she will remain on the lot till she stops draining.  She still has an abscess that needs to pop but her weight is fine and she is eating well.

WONDERFUL NEWS! This is a lucky girl!

Those that do not want to be slammed for sending horses to slaughter would not get slammed if they properly marketed their animals, with papers if available, and made sure they would not wind up in this situation.
