here is an updated decription of Joe:

Bay Arab Gelding, 8 Y.O.; Attention getter!  Everyone stops to watch him.  One owner. U.T.D on shots, worming and farrier.  No known health issues.  Parelli Level 1 trained; needs advanced rider to work through bucking issues; or, excellent for a cart.  Intelligent horse, excellent in ground work.  Well loved but owner cannot afford to keep him.
email: tmk_aspire@yahoo.com

He is being pasture boarded at the red barn in the may valley.

Update on Joe.....

Joe has excellent ground manners, with the exception of standing for the farrier. Guess they give him quietex but he is still a pill.
Joe has a full covering of rain rot across his back. Owner had the vet out, She shampooed him with anti-fungus shampoo. He needs daily grooming and a weekly shampoo with anti fungal shampoo until he is better. May need antibiotics if he does not get rid of the skin condition soon. I will do this,

Joe was a pasture boarded horse, but the owners and barn owner have moved him to a stall. I bought him a weather beater rain sheet for when he gets turned out.

Joe has white marks on his wither and just behind his wither along his spine. I suspect the bucking history may have to do with a poorly fitted saddle.

Joe needs his feet trimmed but appears to have good feet.

Sweet horse. Seems to wonder where his teenage person went. She grew up and is away at college. Needs a new person.

I am a guest again!  I wonder if I could get Jill to go eval him and see what she thinks.  I have never heard anything but good regarding the Red Barn and its owner.  From time to time they have had former CBER horses there as well.

I've been thinking the same thing...everything I've heard about Joe is stellar, he is reported to be a real cuddler on the ground, attentive and eager to please...He would be well worth an assessment if anyone is close enough to check out his back to see if maybe he needs a chiro adjustment or maybe just a bit of extra padding under his saddle..In the meantime he is being maintained and kept in top-notch health.

his rain rot is pretty solid along his back, so he will need a several weeks before he can be evaluated under saddle. i am sending him to kris williams on 11/21 to assess. the dryer climate in ellensburg will be better for him. he will be available until then at the red barn. after that he will be looking for a home when kris is done evaluation/retraining him.

I have my suspicions on the bucking issue and am hoping to have it cleared up quickly. All reports have been good and am looking forward to making a few corrections and getting him on his way to a good home with a brighter outlook.
